Pricing FAQ
Is there a free trial? expand_more
Yes — every plan includes a 14-day free trial with full access to every feature. The trial starts when you subscribe through the App Store. Apple manages billing, so you'll need a payment method on your Apple ID, but you won't be charged until the 14 days are up. Cancel anytime before then and you owe nothing.
How do I cancel? expand_more
Cancel anytime from your iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Sound Safari → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then. Apple's standard subscription rules apply.
What's the difference between Parent and Pro? expand_more
The Parent plan ($4.99/mo) is for families practicing at home — up to 2 children, all practice activities, homework from your child's SLP, and progress tracking. The Pro plan ($9.99/mo) is for speech-language pathologists who need clinical tools: unlimited students, auto-generated SOAP notes, the built-in articulation screener, IEP goal bank, error pattern detection, and PDF progress reports.
Can I switch between Parent and Pro plans? expand_more
Yes. Manage your subscription through Apple's standard subscription system (Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Sound Safari) and pick a different plan. Apple handles the proration automatically.
What happens to my data if I cancel? expand_more
All your data stays on your device and in your iCloud — we don't store anything on our servers, so there's nothing for us to delete. You can keep the app installed even after cancelling and your historical sessions, notes, and goals remain accessible. You just lose access to active practice features and new entries until you resubscribe.
Do you offer a refund if I'm not satisfied? expand_more
Refunds are handled by Apple, not us. Apple has a standard refund process for App Store subscriptions — visit reportaproblem.apple.com within 14 days of being charged to request one. Apple typically grants refunds for accidental purchases or technical issues.
Is there a clinic or team plan? expand_more
Not yet. We're focused on shipping the iOS app for individual SLPs and parents first. A clinic plan with multi-therapist features (shared caseload, student transfers between staff, district-level reporting) is on the roadmap but not yet available. If you're interested in being notified when it ships, email hello@soundsafari.app.
What payment methods do you accept? expand_more
Whatever your Apple ID supports — credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, App Store gift cards, Apple Cash, or carrier billing. We don't process payments directly; everything goes through Apple's standard App Store subscription system.
Why is Sound Safari cheaper than other speech therapy apps? expand_more
We don't run servers, don't pay third-party content licensors, don't have an enterprise sales team, and don't take VC money that needs to be repaid with high prices. Sound Safari was built by a small team alongside working SLPs who wanted a clinical tool that didn't cost more than a meal at a sit-down restaurant per month. The price reflects that.
